Every tan includes a hydration setting spray and finishing powder… on us.
Some studios charge extra for these steps. We include them with every service because we believe they're simply part of doing the job right.
The gloss setting spray locks in your tan and adds a luminous, skin-like finish. The finishing powder absorbs any residual moisture and helps prevent transfer to your clothing. Together they extend the life of your tan and protect your results from the moment you leave.
A great tan doesn't stop at the spray. That's just how we do things here.

Proper prep and consistent aftercare are not optional extras, they are the foundation of a beautiful, long-lasting tan. Clients who follow our guidelines walk out glowing and come back every time. Clients who skip steps get unpredictable results; and we want better than that for you. Read through our prep and aftercare instructions before your first appointment. Your tech will thank you. Before You Glow: FAQs
BEFORE YOUR TAN
How do I prepare for my appointment?
The night before: shower, shave, & exfoliate to remove dead skin cells. Do not moisturize after. Day of: arrive with clean, dry skin, no makeup, lotion, deodorant, perfume, or self-tanner. These will affect your results.
When should I do other beauty services?
Before your tan, always. Waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures, and massages should all be completed 48 hours prior to your spray tan appointment. Doing them after will fade your tan faster.
How far in advance should I book before an event?
Plan to tan 2 days before your event for the best color payoff. For brides, we recommend 2-3 days before the wedding, not the day before. Going on vacation? The day before you leave is ideal.
Can I tan over a sunburn?
We strongly recommend waiting 30 days post burn for your skin to be fully healed. Spray tanning over a sunburn will result in an uneven, patchy outcome and we cannot guarantee the results.
DURING YOUR TAN
What do I wear during my session?
Whatever makes you comfortable. Most clients go nude or wear a g-string. We can also provide disposable underwear and a hair net. Come in whatever feels right; this is a judgment-free zone.
Can I choose how dark I want to be?
Absolutely. Your tech will do a quick consultation before your session to dial in your shade. You set the tone, we make it happen.
How long does the appointment take?
Most sessions run 20 minutes from start to finish, including drying time.
Will my nails get stained?
No. We take care of your hands and feet at the end of every session.
What if I am nervous about being nude/nearly nude?
We get it -- and we promise it's not as scary as it sounds. You set the comfort level. Disposable underwear and a shower cap are always provided. Our techs have seen it all and their only job is to make you glow. Come as you are. Leave bronzed and confident.
AFTER YOUR TAN
What do I wear after my appointment?
Loose, dark clothing only with flip flops or slippers. If it is raining a hoodie, long pants, closed toe slippers, and an umbrella is a great idea (we have complimentary ponchos as well).
I think all my tan washed off in the rinse what do I do?
Your first rinse will wash off the cosmetic bronzer; don't panic. Your real tan is developing underneath and will fully reveal within 24 hours.
How long will my tan last?
7-10 days with proper aftercare. The biggest factors are moisturizing consistently and avoiding long hot showers, baths, and oil-based products.
Can I shave after my tan?
Wait at least 48 hours. Shaving is a form of exfoliation, so the sooner you shave after your tan, the faster it will fade.
Will my spray tan protect me from the sun?
No. A spray tan is purely cosmetic and contains no SPF. You still need sunscreen every single day.
BOOKING + POLICIES
How do I book?
The Glow Ritual, The Golden Rush, The Endurance Glow, & The Bridal Glow can be booked online. The Solo/Group Glow To Go and Sip & Glow require a call or text to book due to scheduling coordination.
What is your deposit & cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit is due at booking to hold the appointment. If you need to cancel/reschedule please do so online, over the phone, via email or via text at least 24 hrs prior to your scheduled appointment. Changes made within 24 hrs will forfeit the paid deposit. No call No show fee is 100% of the booked service price and will be charged to the card on file.
Do you have a travel fee?
Yes. A $25 travel fee applies to any mobile service or Sip & Glow booking located more than 25 minutes from Serenity Day Spa. Sip & Glow bookings also include a $50 setup fee.
Do you spray tan men?
Yes. Everyone is welcome at Serenity Sunless. Disposable boxers or underwear/swimwear is required.
What is the age requirement?
Clients under 18 are welcome with a parent or guardian present. Disposable undergarments or swimwear are required for minors.
Where are you located?
Our Serenity Sunless tanning trailer is located directly to the right of Serenity Day Spa at 3406 Middleton Dr. We will text you when we are ready for you. Feel free to wait in your vehicle, shop our boutique inside the spa, or use the restroom while you wait.
What if I am running late?
Please plan to arrive in the parking lot 5-10 minutes before your appointment. Anything over 10 minutes late is considered a no call no show and will be charged 100% of the service fee. Due to our quick turnaround between clients, we may be unable to accommodate late arrivals. If we can accomodate it we 100% will!
